Cooled the bedroom easily allowing central A/C to remain high or even off at night. Went from $200 summertime electric bill to $95. Fairly easy to install in double hung window but needed foam rubber around frame extensions to reduce noise from outside. unit noise was better than previous window A/C but still moderately noisy in the bedroom environment. I would buy it again.

Good, quiet unit.

I wish Amana still made quality AC units. The Quiet Cool I purchased 15 years ago was much quieter. Most window units today are just cheaply made and very loud.
