Comment:
I bought this in Jul 2011 and used it for only 4 months. Today, Mar 2012 I plug it in and it won't work. Called the tele # listed on unit - its been disconnected but recording gives nbr to call Loews in which goes to their parts/serv number.??? I was told that it was not repairable. At least its still under warranty. Be sure if you buy this you keep your receipt, you might just need it when you return the unit! I bought a GE the same day last year for another location in the house, I turned it on today and its working and cooling just fine. I think this a/c unit was made with cheap parts. I'll get something more reliable next time.

Comment:
Just bought this unit today and I'm quiet happy with it so far...it is NOT loud like some of the other comments state...those people must have very sensitive ears because it's VERY quiet. Easy to install, light weight, nice design, and once again, it's quiet!

Comment:
I am a 77 year old woman and was able to lift and install this a.c. easily myself. It is really light, but pretty noisy compared to the 10 year old one it had replaced. <br />When we were removing it this fall, we discovered it had LOTS of water in it from a recent storm, so much so that it didn't balance on the sill, and fell out of the second story window when we lifted the sash before we could grab it. We probably will buy a similar replacement as we doubt Frigidaire will cover it in the warranty!
