just awful

Pros:
Cools the Whole Room, Easy To Install, Easy Window Installation
Cons:
Leaks into the room, Loud, Ugly
Best Uses:
NONE
Describe Yourself:
Quality Oriented
Primary use:
Personal
How long have you owned it:
Three-to-six months
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

You would think a small a/c would be designed to be in a small room. This one is loud enough to prevent even the slightest conversation unless you like to yell. It cold drown out the sound of a nearby truck route.
During heavy rains the unit leaks into the interior room.
Mine had a bright orange label on it that served as the unit identification plate which when removed for aesthetic reasons voided its warranty and made it unreturnable.
I threw it out after the first season.
At least it was cheap.

I Just Bought Ear Plugs!

Cons:
Loud
Best Uses:
Bedroom
Describe Yourself:
Quality Oriented
Primary use:
Personal
How long have you owned it:
A month or less
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

We bought this unit yesterday, installed it and used it last night. The room was nice and cool and dry, but we didn't get any sleep until we gave up and turned it off. It starts out quiet, but after about two minutes it sets up a roar and weird pulsating sound that doesn't go away. I went out and bought ear plugs today because it's still hot and humid and I need to sleep, but tomorrow, it's going back to the store.

hard a hard time fitting it into my window, but that's more a problem with the window rather than the actual unit. Because of this, the unit does not drain properly.
