Comment:
Works very well - As long as you plan on getting another one every year and a half. Ignore the thermostat and use a thermometer in the room.

Comment:
Since the duplex I'm renting has electric heat, I'm using this heater to supplement the furnace and try to save some money on my electric bill.

Like all convection-type heaters, it's not meant for instant heat and takes a while to warm up a room. Therefore, I use the furnace to quickly warm up my house, but then this heater can take over and keep my living room at a comfortable temperature.

This heater does not have a fan, and the only noise it makes is some occasional creaking when it's warming up or cooling down. Also, the exterior has never gotten hot enough to burn my hand when I touched it.

My main complaint would be that the controls are on the end of the unit, and they can be bit difficult to see, especially in dim light. I usually use the remote.
