Very quiet – ran it all winter 2010, definitely noticed our main furnace did not kick on as much. Two main issues I found with this heater, the light is extremely bright especially on high setting and is it unsafe if you have children under 3 years old (this heater is very HOT).

Comment:
Has 2 heat settings, 400W and 800W. Never needed to use the higher setting. Use it at night and lower the thermostat on the main heat. This will NOT heat a room, it heats whoever is near it. Encourages family togetherness. My 3 cats gather around it. Instant heat, absolutely NO waiting. This is NOT for a bathroom.
