Like many others, I am sorry to report that this is a poorly-made product. The heating element in mine burned out after a few months of use. Nor was it terribly effective at heating a small bedroom in the first place.

I like this heater, BUT I use it in the bedroom and when the heater engages there is a load CLICK!!! as it starts. What that means is that the fan/operation is not that bad noise-wise, but that CLICK!!! whenever the thermostat determines it needs heat is pretty bad.<br />Other than that, the heater itself is quality construction, does a good job heating and has a nice little remote. I think a nice large capacitor would mitigate the click. What I believe is happening is a rapid draw of electricity- a heavy duty capacitor may help. Its a great heater and deserves CR's recommendation, just NOT for the bedroom.

We've owned this heater for 2 months now. We have used it consistently during this time as we have been hit with the worst winter I have ever experienced here in the Pacific N.W. and this little giant has performed admirably. The only drawback is the price. But, even though it is expensive, we will be purchasing another one so we don't have to keep moving it around the house. I feel completely safe leaving this unit going all night long unattended. It is made extremely well and is heavy duty. It is also very quiet.

Construction Quality. Remote. Appearance.
Weakness
Only one fan speed which is inadequate.
For the high price of this heater, this heater offers nothing to justify the price. It is just an ordinary heater in every respect. The fan speed is very low and there are no options for a higher speed. The temperature control is very accurate. The remote is an added plus but you have to go close up to the heater to see the temperature settings you have choosen which defeats the purpose of having the remote.
