Burned Through Two of Them

Comment:
I tried to use this for smoothies at home. The first one gave up the ghost after three months. White smoke came out of the top of the unit. Black and Decker replaced at no cost. The replacement unit made one smoothie. On the second attempt the machine failed and white smoke came out of the top of the unit. I do not know if it is a fire hazard, but I do not want another one.

I purchased product because it had a large motor and appeared to be a good value. The first one lasted three months. It died when white smoke came out of the unit while making a smoothie. The company replaced it after a month. The replacement made two smoothies and died with white smoke coming out of the unit. I do not think that it would have started a fire, but I do not want to take the chance by getting another one.
