Poor Blender
By Melval from Gallup, New Mexico on 12/15/2009
Pros:
Powerful
Cons:
Blade Freezes Strips
Best Uses:
Small Kitchen
Describe Yourself:
Casual Cook
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I bought this blender because of the power that it seemed to have. I really liked it the first time I used it and ended up buying 4 of these blenders for different family members. Unfortunately the blades started freezing up after just a few uses and cuisinart replaced one and refused to replace any more even though I had purchased several of these at [$] each. Some of these blades don't even last two uses before they freeze up. I replaced the blades 3 or more times.

By serial remodeler from south orange, nj on 8/13/2009
Pros:
Great Design, Heavy base stays put, Heavy duty glass jar
Cons:
Fragile plastic cap, Not long wearing
Best Uses:
Making breadcrumbs-good, Making smoothies-good, Pureeing vegetables-good
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend

I have not used my blender too heavily since I have both a full sized and a small sized food processor.
The unit failed to operate after 3 years of light use. Just went dead, motor burnt out
