Comment:
When we first got this blender we were really excited. We bought it to make smoothies because using the food processor can get really messy. It worked very well for 2 weeks. Then it started leaking. I brought it back and tried another because my Kitchenaid food processor and mixer work so well. The second one started leaking after a week. And then I stripped the gears because the pitcher wasn't seated correctly.

Comment:
I made smoothies with frozen fruit, ice, yogurt and juice. The first one leaked after 2 weeks. The second one accidentally seated incorrectly on the base and the gears were stripped. There was a burning smell from the motor and grease dripped down also.

Comment:
I bought this at a department store. After the first couple of uses the pitcher started to leak at the base. I exchanged the blender and the second one did the same thing. I finally called KitchenAid and they sent a new pitcher. This one lasted a little longer but is now leaking as well. I will return for a refund this time.
