So Close to PERFECT!!!

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

I have used my Krups at least 1, sometimes 2 or 3, times a day, since I purchased it 7 months ago. Fruit Smoothies are my addiction. I start by adding 10-12 whole ice cubes, fruit nectar, and fruit, and put the lid on. Turn it on using the 'Ice Crush' feature. Add more ice through the top while it's still crushing until the Smoothie is the right consistency . Turn it off and Enjoy. It's not necessary to use the blending features. If I do, it's only for a few seconds, because my smoothies are real thick, which causes an air-pocket to form around the blades. The only downfall: I wish the pour spout was more pronounced so the smoothie got narrower as it is poured into the glass.
