We use the L'Equip both as an all around blender and as a raw juicer. It rivals that of the one's advertised on late night TV for a much lower cost. And, for all our uses, is comparable to the Vitamix. There are two key advantages to the L'Equip: power and control. At 20,000 RPM's, it pulverizes all of our raw foods, ice, etc. in seconds. The variable speed control allows us to start our juices slowly and then rev up. The key weakness is the pitcher. We have not had a failure, but it has begun to "frost" around the bottom. So, it may only be a matter of time. Other than that, we are extremely pleased. A real hidden gem.
