Fourth Keurig and the same thing!
5/2/2012
Pros
Brews Quickly
Coffee is nice
Cons
Machines don't last
Best Uses
Comment:
Our office loves good coffee. This is the fourth Keurig machine that we have owned. Bottom line is that they all break after 14 months. The distributor won't do anything after 12 months, and the company says they can't deal directly with the public....how convenient. We will be buying another brand of coffee maker.

I am on my second coffee machine. The first was less than a year old & stopped making a full cup of coffee. Descaled & cleaned the needles & it still only delivered a half cup of coffee. The company replaced it with another machine. I have had the second one for less than two years & the same thing happened. I had descaled it at three month intervals as suggested & cleaned the needles. Called the company & they offered me a discount on purchasing another of the same model or a different model. Really enjoyed the machine when it worked but am so disappointed I'm not sure I will purchase another. Am looking into different makers & their pros & cons. Think the company should do something about the inconsistency of their product. Have relatives that have had the same problem.

I've owened the B40 and TWO Platinum machines. ALL of these machines failed at the one year mark!! It's almost as if they have a built in implosion at 12-14 months. I've gone through three machines and I'm done with this company! I really think this company should be investigated for selling faulty products. I'm not certain how they stay in business!

This is the greatest kitchen appliance I have ever owned.
05/23/2011
Strength
Fast, quality, quiet, easy, nothing to clean.
Weakness
None.
The Keurig B40 is the greatest home coffee machine for your home or boat that I have ever had the pleasure of using. It is simply the best way to wake up in the morning whether you are going into work and need a quick cup of coffee for the road or if you are going to laze in bed with the crossword puzzle and want the quality morning you deserve. The best part about it is the lack of clean-up after you are done. I mean, throw the K-Cup away and youre all set!

Strength
Looks cool. Great marketing.
Weakness
Does not work.
I bought this for my wife. When we turned it on, all LED lights flash. I have confirmed on the web that I am not the only person to have this problem. I have also confirmed through a web search that this is a fatal error for this product. Look at their website before you buy. You will note that you cannot do a search and find troubleshoot. Tells you the product is about markething rather than support. Can't tell you how the coffee is, it never made one cup.

Keurig B40 elite brewer
11/25/2008
Strength
coffee quality and consistent brew
Weakness
noise
Coffee is great but the brewer noise is terrible. The noise is from the pump refilling the internal chamber for water heating. The brewer is new so scaling is not an issue. I placed the brewer on a special acoustic foam pad. I'm an engineer and I took sound level readings. This is what I found in my kitchen:67 dB, Dishwasher while in wash mode72 dB, microwave warming dinner85 dB, coffee brewerThe coffee brewer is the loudest appliance in the kitchen! OSHA sets 90dB as the sound level at which sustained exposure may result in hearing loss. I'm using the OSHA number just to illustrate how ridiculously load the brewer is.
