Ours is a 4-5 cup per day household; 3 drinkers. We purchased this coffeemaker after yet another of our Keurig coffee makers died.
The Mr. Coffee was inexpensive & stylish and I was looking for a better alternative to the Keurig.
After a day in the house, the grumbling got quite loud: have to add water every time, noisy, and very, very, slow to brew.
I was out of town for a couple of weeks and when I got back the Mr. Coffee was gone, and a new Keurig was in its place.

Comment:
We also own the Cusinart model and have been quite pleased. We really like to use it for the instant hot water in addition to coffee This one we bought for our vacation condo and it will be ok for there but it it takes about a minute and 15 seconds per cup. Not intolerable but the normal Keurigs are much faster. For the vacation home it is nice to know that there is not a tank of stagnating water left over.

We are casual, one cup a day coffee drinkers. There is no mess, and the coffee maker looks stylish on the counter. It's simple to use, requires no clean-up, and we are pleased with our new Christmas gift! (gift from husband to wife.)
