Comment:
Major plus of this cooktop: it is *very* pretty. I bought it in white. Looks very elegant on my butcher block countertop which is open to all so I care about that. However this expensive unit ([$]) broke after 3 years. The large burner stopped working. $95 to come look at it, part not priced yet (w/b expensive); then another $95 to install. Save yourself the heartache and avoid GE stoves. When it worked it was OK. Did not heat up as fast as I had hoped, and is less responsive (once hot stays hot). Scratches easily so you must follow the cleaning instructions VERY CAREFULLY. And never shake a pan on it. And on and on. I do cook good meals on it. So, as a stove it's OK, not great.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
