Beware of LG induction

Comment:
Recomended by CR so did not expect it to: 1- fail one week after install. LG replaced a circuit board. 2-As we got familiar with it we found that the bridge element heats up unevenly. As much as a 20 to 40 degree difference between the top and bottom. LG is not willing or able to repair and claim that this is normal. The LG website states even heating when using the bridge mode and a griddle. Still emailing them but will have to revert to Attorney Generals office.

Comment:
I chose the LG over the GE because it's mounting depth was shallow (less than 3) and it vents from the top instead from the bottom. This allows a utensil drawer to be installed beneath the cooktop. It heats up quickly and the controls adjust instantly. After cooking the cooktop cools to touch within a minute or two (unlike the electric cooktops). I love this induction cooktop. My previous cooktop was electric. You do need to have induction compatible cookwear. Cheap ones work as well as expensive ones, as long as a magnet sticks to the bottom.<br />PS. I don't see any change in my electric bill.
