This Is The Newer Mode Of
Best Uses
The Maytag model I have is the previous model, MDB 7749. This current model, MDB 4709, appears to use the same control panel which is a know part that fails all the time on the MDB 7749. Within 6 months of use the first control panel failed and 11 months later it failed again. If it had not been for the extended warranty it would have cost me $160 to get the washer fixed.
Beware of this unit.
In addition the dishwasher is noisy, doesn't clean dishes very well, runs for long periods, and doesn't rinse well.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

General Purpose
Not sure what these other people are talking about.
Awkward loading? With all the different size dishes and glasses, I suspect some won't fit well. I have had some very large loads and they have all come out clean. There are so many things that can effect the perfomance (detergent, pre-rinse, water hardness, etc.) Obviously if you have defects then that's something to complain about. Outside of that, what are your expectations?

Smaller than previous dishwasher. Cheaper materials, dishes don't stay in place when rolling trays in our out, wine glasses don't fit, glasses don't fit!
