Washing performance is assessed by running the normal or equivalent cycle to clean a full load--10 place settings of very dirty dishes that were scraped but not rinsed. We examine the dishes and glassware after cleaning for residual food.

Comment:
Our dishwasher (Whirlpool Gold GU2800XTVY1) came with our brand new house. It is brand new, and we are very disappointed. It takes a long time to finish, and the dishes don't come out very clean. We miss our old dishwasher from our old house. We followed all of the directions and troubleshooting for long cycle times. Apparently, this is normal for this dishwasher. We have to pre-wash by hand, which we never had to do that with our old dishwasher.

All you need to know, is that we are on this website looking for a new dishwasher to replace our brand new perfect-condition Whirlpool Gold.

Comment:
Don't overfill the silverware holder, it may block the soap dispenser from opening all the way and the silverware holder pops open easily, dumping the silverware. We zip-tied it closed.
