This is a replacement for a recalled model. It works OK but the tablet detergents break up in the machine and require messy removal. We use the dishwasher twice a week on average for already rinsed dishes. The controller board broke 12 months and 10 days after it was installed ($250 to replace it - it's a $100 part). When I called Maytag I was informed that the warranty starts from the purchase date not the installation date. Since this was more than a month prior to the installation, this is a ripoff. Would never buy another Maytag product again. Lousy customer service. Was told by Crystal from Tennessee at Maytag that all appliance brands have this policy. Perhaps - but it's still a ripoff. We should probably have just said no to the replacement/recall and bought a different dishwasher. Buyer beware!!!!!!!

Comment:
The dishwasher only partially drained the soapy water (it left a pool of dirty water in the base). The repairman said it was going to be cheaper to replace the unit than for him to come back and throw parts at the sluggish and partial draining problem.

The dishwasher was purchased new less than 18 months ago so Maytag is out for us. We'll try a GE again since our last one lasted over 4 years.

Comment:
We are very disappointed in this Maytag product. The cycle stops for no reason. And we have to manually turn it back on. It doesn't dry. We've had service techs out twice and they told us it's the turbidity sensor and to use less soap and less Rinse aid. But without the Rinse Aid, it doesn't dry the dishes. We regret this purchase.
