Comment:
I had this chopper for over 2 years. I am caregiver for my mother who is on a mechanical soft diet. This chopper made it possible for her to eat almost anything we ate, as long as it was chopped. Chopper was used every day. Bowl and blade went easily into dishwasher. However the motor mechanism is also the lid and had to be washed by hand and cannot be immersed. Also, the pin that holds the blade in the chopper was tiny and came out easily, so had to keep track of that. The bowl recently cracked. I will upgrade to CU recommended chopper with a larger bowl, but this chopper has served us well.

Not very powerful
I bought the Black & Decker EHC650 Ergo 3-Cup Food Chopper for preparing baby food. It's SAFE and EASY to use. More importantly, it is very easy to use and clean. Two settings give you flexibility in how coarse you want your food to be chopped. The see-through container lets you see the food as it is being chopped. Making baby food has never been so easy before. I highly recommend this product based on its easy of use and ease of clean-up.

Strength
Works Great! Quieter than you'd think.
Weakness
None that I've found
I have to say this is the best little chopper I've ever found. I have had it for about 3 years and just love it. Recently, the little pin that connects inside the bottom of the cup fell out in my dishwasher and got lost. I have missed being able to use this gadget when I need it. I bought the Black & Decker One-touch Chopper at Walmart because they no longer had the EHC650 and I thought maybe this one would work just as good. WRONG! I hated it. It's going back to Walmart. Way too noisy and hard to operate. So I am now on the internet trying to find one just like my old one. I highly recommend this product. Black & Decker did good on this one, but not so good on the One-touch.

Strength
Runs quietly and occupies less space than other models because the motor is at the top.
Weakness
The container is below the motor, and tends to be slightly shaky.
The unit does a good job doing our daily chopping work. It is much quieter than several other models we tried to purchase and finally returned because they're too noisy. The cleaning and assembling are easy (we did not use the dishwasher). The same unit we bought 5 years ago had a crack in the plastic container, possibly due to the force exerted directly from the motor on top. We did not want to buy the part, and so we bought a new one. This unit is hard to find in stores. Wal-Mart used to have it, but now they only sell the smaller model, and GE model with 3-cup capacity. The GE model is extremely noisy.
