Ours was defective and dangerous

Comment:
The blade is very sharp and is packed on top of the box with no protection. My wife cut her finger right through the nail immediately when she tried to unpack the box. In addition, our sample was defective -- it would not turn off no matter how hard or how frequently we pushed the off button. Disconnecting it didn't reset it.
How long have you owned it:
A month or less
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

1/22/2012
Pros
Easy to clean
Not too noisy
Powerful
Quick
Small Footprint
Cons
No additional discs exist
Best Uses
Any job for this size
Comment:
Only use mine lightly so no problem with things breaking. LOVE that I can move it and it doesn't take up much counter space. Opening the bowl, emptying contents, and cleaning are easy.

Too bad they don't make additional discs. The 4mm shredder is too fine for saurkraut.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend.

Poor bowl design

Comment:
Had KitchenAid food processor for over a year when locking mechanism in bowl handle broke. Ordered a new bowl for $30 and that bowl lasted one month. The locking mechanism should be on the side of the bowl, not in the handle! I pitched the base and bowls. Now to find a food processor manufacturer that designs for durability.

Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
