Processes well but cover fits over bowel such that dry items are spread over counter after removal even when top is patted vigorously after use.

It's NOT my old dependable BRAUN

My unit is almost 5 years old. I use this to chop everything for my cooking / baking. Motor is strong and dependable. The problem is the bowl and lid. I have replaced both 3 times and I'm getting ready for a 4th time. I owned a BRAUN prior to this and it ran for 20+ years... no replacement parts needed - none whatsoever. This bowl and lid is not cheap... with all the replacing, I could have bought a new unit. I wish BRAUN was available in the U.S.

Come on Kitchen Aid, do better with your parts!!!

Went Out; Worked only Twice

Comment:
I used the thing twice. It worked well. You can't put too much in at a time, or you'll have a mixture of finely chopped food with big chunks.

It completely stopped working within 9 months. Like the power blew out.
I won't buy any Kitchen Maid products again.

Strength
Plenty of power; blades are sharp
Weakness
Bowl won't lift off without pulling up on blade.
I have enjoyed my new processor. Have waited for a long time to own. It makes perfectly sized bread crumbs. It made perfect cole slaw. My favorite thing to make so far was a pie crust. It combined the ingredients far better than I can by hand.

This is my first KitchenAid product and also my first food processor. I have been doing my research for a while to make this purchase. Both from word of mouth and from the prominent cooking magzine, this processor enjoys a very good reputation. I bought it without a hesitation when my local department store dillards promoted a sale on it. So far so good. It's powerful. It works flawlessly when making dough. It's heavy, no worry when the 700w motor is on. It chops, shreds, cuts without bringing any mess. A lot of blades, a lot of processing choice. Basically, I use it everyday and I am looking to see how many years it could last.

I wanted a food processor that does everything since I try to keep appliances to a minimum. This one does the dough pretty well and also is great for grating and chopping. Its very easy to clean this as all the parts comes apart easily. It's very quite during operation. I am very pleased with this purchase. Would recommend it to all the people who want to buy a good inexpensive processor.
