We recently replaced our aging farmhouse with a new Modular Home (No, Not a Mobile Home) on a full basement. The new home came with a selection of 3 different appliance suppliers and a choice of finish in each supplier. We chose Whirlpool and are glad that we did so... sort of!
We were pleasantly surprised with the efficiency of this range, it is very quick to heat up and maintains an even temperature while baking or range-top cooking.
I know we are probably old-fashioned, but we like the coil type range, and this unit has excellently manufactured reflector bowls that clean up easily as does the range surfaces.
One thing that is a minor drawback is the Oven and Timer controller. It is non-standard in the way the timer is canceled and requires a "confirmation' of oven temp settings or timer settings or it will disregard the settings and go back to static state (clock display). This controller feature is irritating.
Other than that inconvenience, this is an excellent basic electric free-standing coil range. You would not go wrong is selecting this one.
