Use this range for everything! The induction cooktop is beyond incredible! Pans heat up instantly and respond fast to adjustment. The range is sleek, functional, and solid. I missed cooking on gas after moving to a place with an older electric range but no more! Expensive, yes. Worth every cent, you bet. You will not regret buying this.

I've chosen to write again now that I've had this range almost a year -- I STILL LOVE IT! It's still working as well as on day one. It is one of THE BEST purchases I've ever made - GE REALLY did a GOOD JOB with this model -- you won't regret choosing this range. Happy Meals to you!

I've used both gas and electric ranges and this combines the speed and power of electricity with the instant on/off of gas. The best of both. The heat is so even that you never have raw on one side and burned on the other, even with hash browns. It's very easy to clean, but you can put a paper towel under the pan (to prevent scratches)and a newspaper over the towel (to catch splatters) and have nothing to clean at all. Don't try that with a conventional range! You usually use stove top settings that are lower than the recipe suggests because it is so powerful (try medium instead of med-high) and the change in power is immediate, so you can make rapid adjustments. A liter of water boils in less than two minutes. Get the pasta ready to go in the pan BEFORE you start the water or it will beat you to the boil. Convection oven is also great. Oven roasted vegetables are amazing and need very little oil. Roasts come out great. They even coated the racks with the same stuff as the oven walls so you can leave them in during the self-clean cycle. I wouldn't want to go back to a conventional range after using this. Instead of offering lots of very similar models, I appreciate that they just included all the best features in this range. Warming drawer, keep warm burner, hi/low broiler, temp probe, convection and conventional oven, self-cleaning, timed cooking, timer -- it has everything except a sink.
