Capacity as listed on the product or packaging.
Watts:
This is the manufacturer's figure of the microwave power output. In general, the more watts an oven offers, the greater its cooking power-and the faster your food will be cooked. That said, differences in claimed wattage of 100 watts or less are unlikely to result in significant differences in performance.
Sensor:
Controls the cooking and reheating time automatically. It shuts off an oven when it determines (usually by sensing steam) that food is hot enough.

Stainless/SS-look option Stainless-steel is stylish, but it shows fingerprints. Another option: a vinyl-covered metal finish that gives you a stainless-steel look but resists smudging.
Consumer Reports apparently did not consider durability in its microwave ratings. The bar you push to open the door stopped working after three weeks. I took this as a bad sign and returned the oven. My previous Panasonic was almost exactly the same (except for the dial on the keypad, which I like) and lasted 6 years, but my Amana RadarRange lasted 28 years. I would rather pay more for quality that lasts than waste my time and money on cheap, flimsy products.

Comment:
The way the inverter modulates the power of the magnetron is a real joy. This was something that I initially didn't believe possible. This feature makes practical many reheating jobs that a high-powered microwave normally could not succesfully accomplish. For my money this is the ONLY type to buy.
