About This Brand

Whirlpool's over-the-range microwaves feature what the company calls the Velos design, a venting system that removes smoke better than any other over-the-range model we've tested. The company also sells convection and nonconvection microwaves, some with speed-cooking capability. The ovens are sold at most major retailers and cost $300 to $800.

Comment:
Had this unit for a little over a year when it would no longer heat. It acts like it is on but no sound, only display works. Poor quality and shortest life of any microwave I have ever owned.

Comment:
We purchased this microwave about two months ago. It worked for two weeks and then wouldn't heat up anything. We've had three visits from a repair service company over the last month and they've been unable to fix it. Whirlpool's customer service reps (very rude, by the way), refused to replace it, even though it hasn't worked for a month. Will never purchase another Whirlpool product.

Comment:
The microwave is working great. I have had it for over 5 years. The only problem is that the tray no longer moves because the plastic part that spins it has broken. I have fixed it with super glue once and need to do it again.
