I contemplated this purchase for a very long time, I picked the Cuisinart because it seemed to have a better user review that the Kitchen Aid. I also have quite a few other Cuisinart appliances, and was quite happy with the brand. This, however was a big disappointment, in less than a year the machine burned out on a double batch of sugar cookies, way under the capacity, it claimed to accommadate. I was refunded my entire purchase price, but now I am very skeptical about replacing it.

I love this stand mixer and wouldn't trade it for any on the market. I have had the K.A. and this is such a better product. I love to make bread and this mixer is the best product to do that. Clean up is a breeze, love the deep bowl and the pour spout.<br />Fits under my cabinets where as the K.A. will not. It is heavy but it needs to be, it's kind of loud but not like the K.A.<br />I love it!

Was not sure about this product, did a lot of research before buying. I still own a KitchenAid classic mixer however I was looking for a high quality heavy duty mixer with a large capacity. <br /><br />The bowl is very large and makes bread-making easy with out having to batch it up or it coming over the sides of the bowl. It whips egg white in no time. This mixer is VERY powerful, while it is noisier than other mixers I have had it well makes up for it in the mixing power. The timer is nice, it allows you to do other things in the kitchen while it is mixing and then automatically shuts off when the timer is up. <br /><br />I love Cuisinart appliances and I know they are quality. You get what you pay for on this product. If you are looking for a simple mixer then look else where, but for those who are serious about cooking/baking or do alot of it, then this mixer is for you. <br /><br />I dont know why Consumer Reports gave it a mediocre rating (probably the price as mentioned in another review) but this is as close to a professional mixer without breaking the bank.
