Comment:
It is difficult to remove beaters without having them fall into mixer! I need to use two thumbs to eject them. Also, the tilt release does not release! I have to scoop out the bowl contents, then place the mixer on the side, and after lots of wiggling, the tilt release button will work. Yuk!!!

Comment:
Have owned and/or used the Sunbeam MixMaster for the last 35 years. The MixMaster has always performed extremely well and they continue to work for many, many years without any problems. I use the mixer 95% of the time for cookies, cakes, and desserts. I also remove from the stand to mash potatoes (without hand mashing first) and the mixer works extremely well for this also. Typically, I mash a 3 qt kettle full of potatoes. Can be considered a little heavy to use off the stand compared to a hand mixer but not cumbersome or too heavy to use as a hand mixer on occasion. I have not used it for bread dough so not sure how it would perform. However, I would HIGHLY recommend this mixer to anyone who wants a solid, reliable, cost-effective mixer for everyday use.
