a so-so hood

Bottom Line:

No, I would not recommend this to a friend

This came installed by our builder. Within 4 years we've had to replace the motor on one side already for $250. And the new motor seems to be having troble again. Seems like the grease is getting stuck in the motor. It is also really really loud, sound like an airplane taking off when you're cooking. Sound may be from the duckwork - duckwork could be insulated. Does a good job of sucking out the air. But would not recommend at all because you'll be sinking more money after it.
