About - Samsung RB195AB[ ]

The RB195AB[ ] is a bottom freezer refrigerator available from Samsung. The RB195AB[ ] typically costs $899.00.

Consumer Reports recommends that you match the features on a model to the needs you have. Here's our take on some of the specifications and features that are commonly available on bottom freezer refrigerator models like the RB195AB[ ].

Cabinet-depth model:
Cabinet-depth models usually measure 27 to 28 inches deep, not quite flush with the cabinets, but at least three inches shallower than many standard 36-inch-wide models. You can get models with stainless exteriors or panel kits.

Stainless/SS-look option:
Stainless steel is stylish but it shows fingerprints. Another option: a vinyl-covered metal finish that gives you a stainless-steel look but resists smudging.

Exterior height (in.):
Our measurement, including the top hinge and rounded up to the nearest inch. (We measured only tested models, but the similar models we list should have the same dimensions.) Built-in models have the compressor on top, making them about a foot taller than regular refrigerators. They fit flush with cabinets and counters.

Reliable entry-level bottom-freezer
By Family of Three from Greenville, NC on 4/22/2009
Pros:
Design, Digital Controls, Door open alarm
Cons:
Ice-maker hard to control
Best Uses:
Home
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

This is a great entry-level bottom-freezer refrigerator with stylish design and easy-to use controls. Food inside is easy to see. The alarm signaling when the door is open is an outstanding feature. We have had problems with controlling the ice maker--it often results in a frozen clump of ice if you are not using ice frequently enough.
