Comment:
We purchased this unit new three years ago, overall the quality seems average but fine. However, the one major problem is the bottom shelf which holds the fruit/vegetable draws. Shortly after we purchased, this shelf cracked right in the middle. We assumed we must have simply put too much weight on the shelf or in the drawers, so tried to be more careful. GE replaced under warranty and it happened again so now believe this is a design proble.

Comment:
When we bought our new home we purchased all GE Profile Appliances. So far the stove, dishwasher and microwave have all been very good. Unfortunately the fridge has had problems with the temperature gauge shortly after the warranty expired. The fridge appears to work fine but the digital display at the top of the fridge only works about 20% of the time. Most of the time its blank so you are unsure what the temperature is or what you have it set for. Not a huge deal but very disappointing for a brand new fridge. Also we have had some issues with the plastic on the shelving cracking and one of the latches on the top of one of the doors broke off recently...but does not appear to have affected the doors ability to close or remain closed so I'm not sure what it was for in the first place. Overall we like the look of the fridge but considering the price we paid are very disappointed with the quality of this unit. We paid more thinking we were getting as better quality unit...unfortunately this has not been the case.

Comment:
We're Senior Adults so not hard on the Appliance
yet - plastic drawer glides break when the drawer is pulled open and you put something like a bag of carrots inside. I believe the cold compromised the plastic strength.

Door Ajar alarm goes off even if the door is closed sometimes.

Temp. setting light does not work all the time.
