Comment:
This product is flawed. The freezer door pops open every time you close the fridge door which allows the cold air out and the humidity in. Due to this the freezer builds frost and continuously needs to be defrosted. My fridge is 1 1/2 years old and the fridge stopped working and I was told by LG to defrost the fridge for 24 hours and it still doesn't work. I was told by an appliance repair man that this will be a on going problem so we will probably junk it then continuously pay repair costs and have food go bad. [$] for 1 1/2 years of service.

Comment:
This is our only family fridge/freezer. We have had continued problems with the freezer door opening and the vents frosting over in the freezer. <br />The freezer door (lower door) continues to pop open when the top of the fridge is used but the alarm does not go off. In the morning your fridge is full of snow and your food is warming up. NOT HAPPY WITH THIS PRODUCT...

Comment:
I bought this fridge in July 2009 because it had no bells and whistles, which I believe are prone to fail, but it did have plenty of space, which is what I wanted. A couple of plastic pieces have broken off and the wire sliding freezer basket broke in the middle a few months ago, with which I could live. However, it started making a loud noise just this past week and, as of this morning, has stopped working. After reading a litany of bad reports on LG fridges in general on-line, we are deciding not to repair it. We are going to cut our losses ([$]) and look for a new fridge with a better track record. My husband is newly retired and we aren't happy to have to buy another new fridge.
