I felt I needed to write a review after seeing so many folks rating this refrigerator low. I LOVE this frig! Granted, I'm not a I have to have a designer frig and settled for this one because I cannot afford a Viking refrigerator snob, but this is the BEST frig I've ever owned. It keeps food well; I love the french doors and freezer below; the filtered water tastes great; and I am amazed how much it can hold. It's quiet (except for the beeping noise when I've had the door open too long - and I consider this is a wonderful reminder that I'm wasting energy so I think this is nice); looks great; and I have had absolutely no mechanical problems with it after owning it 14 months. I am happy with this refrigerator and disagree with every review I've read that rates it less than 5 stars. Yes, the ice cubes are small but they are fine and I consider it a small issue considering that the managed to get the entire icemaker into a compact place in the door. I bought it because, besides looking great and having the features I wanted at an affordable price, it had the largest cubic foot capacity of any refrigerator in its price range. I am so happy to have this refrigerator and look forward to years of faithful use from it.

Fridges with french door with water and ice are a bit tricky to find but we have been very happy with the LG. Sometimes, but not frequently, the ice-maker has quit, but turning it off and back on and moving the wire sensor has fixed it every time. Lots of space, bright inside and suprisingly large freezer. Recommended.

I chose the largest, top of the line refrigerator available. LOVE the bottom freezer (would have chosen the two-drawer if it had been Energy Star rated)! I've had to have it repaired twice in 1.5 years -- no big deal. My biggest disappointment it that it is RUSTING on the front door just below the ice maker! Unfortunately, this EXPENSIVE fridge will be sent to the wet bar downstairs!
