Takes approximately 5-6 minutes to lightly toast.<br />Timer does not count down to let you know how much time is left. Very disappointed because I have always purchased GE/Black & Decker toaster ovens.

I have used this oven alot and have found it to be excellent when you have a small casserole or roast to do and also good for broiling. The one thing I do not recommend though is to use it for toasting as it is to far away from the elements and all you get is dried out bread and it isn't toasted.
