We love this unit for toast, small cooking when we want to brown and get away from the microwave without turning on the oven, but the exterior is so hot it really should not be legal. It scares me when the grand kids visit, so I am looking to replace it.

I have owned this toast oven for a year and a half. The whole front control panel is cracked and the panel itself has fallen off. It stopped working one day and worked the next but the broil button doesn't work at all. I have the white model and it is badly stained brown around the edges and cannot clean it off. The crumb tray is located in the back which is hard to clean and remove. I don't care for the buttons in the front verses the side, bad design.<br />I use this oven almost every day, I admit to only using my large oven only a few times a year. I like the way this toaster oven performs, it cooks evenly and had two rack heights and toast comes out perfect every time. I am extremely disappointed with the quality of this oven considering how much we paid for this item. I wrote an email to Cuisinart and never received a reply! I even sent pictures of how awful it looks and how badly damaged it is after such a short time. I take extremely good care of my appliances and I am embarrassed by the condition of this oven. They should be ashamed!

Strength
Sleek/Modern, Digital. Warms up quickly. Timer tells you when done. Convectional. Several options to use for pizza, bagel, toast. Big size can cook a 12pizza. Has 3yr warr. compared to most 1yrs.
Weakness
Tray pullout is at the back. Would be nice if front tray opens out when open door. Interior LCD light would be useful. Length is big for a small countertop,but width is compact. Kids can access buttons
A free liner would be nice for the tray. Great product even it's on the expensive side. You get what you pay for. Money worth well spent. Old school dials offer only 1yr warranty. This offers 3yrs if you're worried about being digital. Make is good quality.

Strength
Sleek design great looks. Multi-functional. User friendly.
Weakness
Exterior is hot to the touch.
Bakes, broils & toasts like a champ. Large capacity for cooking anything but a Thanksgiving turkey! Heats up quickly. Intuitively designed digital timers and settings make for an almost set and forget cooking experience.

Beautiful stainless design. Great for toasting and many other features. Easy to clean.

Very Expensive
I spent a lot of time searching for the right toaster oven for my kitchen and did not expect to go anywhere near this price range, but after reading product reviews by experts and by consumers, I found it very difficult to select a toaster. This toaster got excellent reviews by both experts and outstanding reviews by consumers. I decided to go for it because I did not feel there was a more affordable toaster oven out there which could both toast well and bake well. This toaster oven calculates the toast time based on how hot the oven is when you start toasting, which is great because if you toast something after using the oven, your toast will still come out with the desired darkness.
