Comment:
This thing caught my eye by its price and good looks, and for the fact that they sold it at Crate and Barrel. It replaced an unsightly Cuisinart model that toasted very well and had an analog control.

Unfortunately this toaster's looks do not translate into performance. Often I need a toast settting somewhere between 5 and 6, where 5 is undercooked or unevenly cooked, and 6 is burnt.
How long have you owned it:
More than six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Comment:
The reviews for the more expensive model were very good, so I figured what the heck. It toasted fine with white bread. When I put in frozen waffles, it toasted the outside nicely, and left the insides raw., I did a couple more to check - same result. Back it goes.
