Other than for this handsome toaster generating insufficient heat to brown a piece of white bread I have no complaint. As the ability to toast is the sine qua non of a decent toaster this is a rather major flaw. However, my wife and I love the design, appearance and features so we'll exchange this one in hope that we simply have a defective example.It will produce a dry piece of browned but baked bread bearing little resemblance to toast after two runs through the longest cycle. Judgment is, for the moment, suspended.
