first toaster, toasted on one side only, second toaster, toasted on one side only, third and last toaster, toasted on one side only. The outside side. Loved the look, great cleaning accessability, thats it. Will not purchase another one.

We have had 3 of these Cuisinart toasters, and they always break down after a year or so of use. The first one (two slice model) broke when it was not longer possible to get the slice of bread to stay down, although you could toast it by keeping your hand on the lever and just holding it down. The next two we bought (one two slice, one four slice model) stopped toasting on one side of the bread. We live on Kauai where there is not much to choose from when buying a toaster. But this time I will go online and buy something better.

even at setting of 2 and one half, it sometimes burns the toast. any setting higher that 3 burns the toast
