Comment:
When we first got the unit it was extremely noisy...perhaps my fault for not letting the coolant settle. The temperatures for the two areas tended to drift (according to its own thermostat). Ultimately, the thing stopped cooling and began to warm the wine with its own thermostat showing 78 degrees. The racks cannot accommodate longer bottles, so we put them in sideways.

Vinotemps don't last

I started with two Vinotemp wine coolers in 2005. They both died within three years. Sadly, I bought a newer, bigger, very nice looking Vinotemp and it died after two years. I kept it in my dining room and the workings free of dust, not in a steaming hot garage covered with sawdust as the short life might suggest.

Comment:
I have no faith in VinoTemp products. The unit has burned out its motherboard twice in two years. This involves two visits from an approved repair service (there's only one in my area) plus expensive parts.

Worse still, my chiller has been broken for nearly six months and VinoTemp has no parts on hand and doesn't expect them for months.

Appalling. But my red wine vinegar is fantastic!
