About - Frigidaire Affinity FAQE7001L[W]

The Frigidaire Affinity FAQE7001L[W] is part of the clothes dryer test program at Consumer Reports. In our lab tests, electric dryer models like the Affinity FAQE7001L[W] are rated on multiple criteria, such as those listed below.

Drying performance:
This score combines performance on three types of laundry loads of different sizes and fabric mixes: A 12-lb. load, predominantly cotton, representing a family's large weekly load; an 8-lb. load of cotton/polyester blend clothing; and a 3-lb. load of synthetic delicates, women's pajamas, nightgowns, bras and underwear.

Capacity:
Among the models we tested, drum volume varied from about 6 to 8.0 cu. ft.

Convenience:
For this measurement, we judged controls and ergonomics, such as ease of loading and unloading, servicing the lint filter, whether the door could clear a tall basket, and whether the machine has a raised edge to contain spills.

Comment:
I don't want tons of features. More features makes for more to break down. I'm simple. I just want my clothes dried! I bought it on cyber monday for less than the lowest price shown on the report range.<br />It's quiet, efficient and the clothes come out dry- not baked like my old dryer. The clothes don't even seem hot so you're wasting less energy and the sensor bars must be doing their job well. No more running extra time for my jeans.. I can trust they will be dry when the load is finished. No more rivet burns from overly hot jeans.Clothes will probably last longer when they aren't being cooked. Beeps softly when done yet can be heard while watching tv. Does not keep me awake when I turn on a load at bedtime nor does the beep wake me. I like the lint screen mounted inside the door edge. No more lint all over top of machine when pulling it out to clean. No vibrations felt. Wicker laundry basket fits below the door fine. Front mounted controls mean you could put a counter over it if you choose. A good solid value.
