Comment:
Window is a joke. Behind a very, very dark tint is solid metal showing only half of a circle. The large rectangle is really false advertising. Dunno what I wanted to see, but the window is useless. The clothes often tend to come out damp. Steam function is rarely used, but seems to work, if you have 20 minutes to wait.

Comment:
Clothes wrap completely around other bunches of clothing which prevents them from completely drying. They also mysteriously twist into knots which you end up having to take apart leaving those knotted areas damp. Also, something told me to buy the extended warranty considering the fancy electronic parts. But, I convinced myself that a washer/dryer have a life expectancy of at least 5 years. Never had any issues in the past with maintenance of other washer/dryer sets. In fact, I purchased this set to replace a set I'd had for about 10 years. Murphy's law, six months after the one year factory warranty expired the heating unit shorted out. I contacted Whirlpool service department but was told that there was nothing they could do to offset the cost for repair since it had no warranty. I ended up paying over $300.00 in parts and labor for the repair. The technician mentioned that typically that part should last at least 5 years. Mine only lated approx 18 months. Didn't matter to the Whirlpool customer service representative. Seemed like she was happy to tell me that I was SOL. I could HEAR her smiling on the other end of the phone line. Ironically, I received an extended warranty application in the mail just a few days after I contacted Whirlpool. I was surprised since the person I spoke with on the phone a few days earlier told me that I missed my opportunity to apply for the extended warranty which I should have bought within 30 days from the purchase date. I ended up purchasing the warranty they offered in the mail and added my matching washer to it. Hopefully, Murphy won't show his face before that warranty take affect two months after I paid for it.

awful dryer

constant breakdowns
Bought this dryer 10 months ago. It worked fine for 7 months, but in the last 5 months has needed 3 (so far) service calls - all for the exact same problem! The last time the technician was out the dryer last for 2 days before breaking again. Each service calls takes about a week to set up. Needless to say, with a family that needs clean laundry, this is very frustrating and completely unacceptable.
