The temperature never goes on!! In fact, there isn't even a pilot light! The new Bravos series washer and dryer were both purchased on 1/22/12. After the first dryer cycle, the temperature shut off. I have had 6 service calls, which means I have to waste a day waiting. These servicemen do one of the following: 1. order a part and leave 2. installs the ordered part, which breaks after the first load or 3. Does nothing but blames the vent,even though the duct block indicator shows good air flow, and the duct has just been professionally cleaned. One repairman told me 4 towels are too large a load even for a large capacity machine. Another said I needed to dry full loads to prevent overheating! The heating element has been replaced, but the repairman barely got out of the door when - you got it...the temperature shut off! Maytag service says I now have to pay for replacing the heating element as they already replaced it with the one which broke down as soon as the repairman left. The dryer worked from 3/8/12-3/12/12 only. I can't believe I was talked into taking a chance with Maytag! It's the same song and dance I got when I bought the first energy efficient Maytag Neptune model which eventually bankrupted the Maytag company with their mold issues. Purchased 1/22/12. As of today, 3/27/12 - I have a dryer that only blows cold air!<br />Read reviews on all Maytag products to see similar problems with temperature/heat!

I bought this unit (gas model) in December of 2010 and it has worked flawlessly. If I forget the clothes and leave them in the dryer too long when finished to get wrinkles out I just use the steam assist and they come out great. I couldn't be happier with its performance.

This is the best dryer I've ever owned! Clothes dry quickly and the steam option is great for dress shirts and other clothing (wrinkles are gone). Bought pedistals with both washer and dryer and it makes it much easier to load and transfer the wash to the dryer. Got both the washer and dryer for [$] each and paid $199 each for the pedistals. Could not be happier with these units.
