Comment:
Saleslady at [...] said this is the one to buy. She told me which ones not to buy because customers returned broken machines. It would be nice if machines had a lock feature for reverse sewing - not a button or a lever that has to be held. Old machines had a flip lever that would allow the machine to stay in reverse. My repair man says he cannot work on computerized models. I own 2 Singers, 1 Kenmore, and 1 Brother. This was my first Brother brand. I wish Consumer Reports would have evaluated a Singer and a Kenmore in the mechanical category and in entry-level pricing. After all, many people refuse to pay more than $125 for a sewing machine.
