I spend about 2-3 hours per week ironing my dress shirts for work. My shirts are custom tailored and cost an average of $225.00 per shirt. I've owned all different types of irons (Rowenta,Singer, etc) and they all die eventually. But this is the first one that scorched one of my dress shirts on it's way to iron cemetery. Apparently the internal thermostat malfunctioned causing the temperature on the soleplate to rise and thereby burn my shirt. Black and Decker should probably resign themselves to just making mechanical tools!

Comment:
I have used this iron maybe 3 times and it started leaking badly from the power cord. We could have been electrocuted! I am returning it today.
