Comment:
Couldn't wait to purchase it because of CR ratings. Iron is hot, irons smoothly, and has plenty of steam. However, did not live up to ratings. The spray and shot-of-steam buttons did not work. Those two features are ones that I use often. The light goes off and on too much. I would rather dial in my fabric/heat. Taking it back and not purchasing another Kenmore. Disappointed with CR rating.

Comment:
This iron does heat up enough to get wrinkles out of fabric that is 100% cotton. It is heavy and unwieldly. I'm sorry I followed your recommendation without reading the reviews.

Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The worst iron I have owned

Comment:
I like the weight of the iron because you don't have to apply much pressure. However, even though I have only used spring water and follow the self-cleaning instructions on a monthly basis, the iron spits brown spots and excessive amounts of water. After only minimal use over a six month period, the iron no longer heats.

More than six months
Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
