Comment:
I iron cotton button-down shirts and khaki trousers weekly; tablecloths and other asst. household items occasionally. This iron started out promising, but I ditched the base when it wasn't maintaining heat. (The base allows it to be used cordless and it's much lighter) So I used it only with the cord and it still had trouble maintaining a high cotton temp. Then the burst-of-steam button started getting stuck. Finally, it's been leaking like crazy. When it worked it was great; but that didn't even last a year.

Comment:
I was so excited when I got this iron, only to find that I prefer the $20 iron that I planned on replacing. This iron is slow to heat up.It's confusing to use.It just doesn't produce the steam required to get through the wrinkles in cotton shirts .
