If you read my review about the 27515, the only thing to add to this is that the pile-height adjust is good for casual users, it is easier on your back if you drag the canister (I carry the caninster with one hand and vaccum with the other, it is light weight so I dont need to use the pil-height adjust) But after time the pile-adjust wears off so that if you put too much pressure it just retracts.
Aside from this little thing, wich will last you a year, and unless you buy the extended warranty, it is not cover, so you are better off buying the 27515 and saving money including the extended warranty

I have a Great Dane and a cat. I usually go thru vacuums on a regular basis. This vacuum is great. The pet hair comes right up and my favorite feature is the stairs. So easy and picks up so good in all the corners. I will never get a lesser model than this. Awesome.

I purchased this vacuum based on the Consumer Reports ratings, and specifically the recommendation that it would do well on hardwood floors and pet hair. I have five cats and one dog, and all of my floors are hard surface with an occasional throw rug. I am a long time user of canister vacuums, and my last model was a Hoover. The motorized carpet head and even the little stair tool are awesome on the carpet and the stairs, and my big cat tree, too. They really do pull a lot. I love the dirt sensor, and find it to be pretty accurate. I have no trouble changing tools. It is quiet enough that the dog does not run and hide the way he did with my old Hoover. It took a bit to get used to the little power stair tool, since it only mounts to the very base of the hose at the top of the handle; in other words, I can't use it with any of the solid wand pieces. The real issue I have is with the hard floor tool. The vacuum has plenty of power, but unless you are right on top of the dirt, it won't pick it up. Pet hair is OK, but forget about the pieces of cat litter that get tracked near the box. It hardly pulls any dirt in from the front, and kicks whatever is behind it backward. Very frustrating. It's also too big to fit under things like my couch, and between my cabinets. On the plus side, if you have low-pile dense throw rugs, or tiny kitchen throws, the floor tool works very well for a light cleanup on these. To solve the hard floor problem, I bought a simple, standard Hoover floor tool, which is just a thin brush all the way around a wide base. It pressure-fits right over the end of the Intuition wand, and works 100% better. Sometimes low tech is better than high tech. I think the vacuum is quiet and has lots of power, but needs to have the floor tool seriously re-thought. A simple adaption with a [$] Hoover tool fixed it, but I shouldn't have to do this.
