Comment:
We bought this machine after conducting quite a bit of research and our own testing in the stores. This machine works great, is quiet, has most if not all of the same features as higher priced models, and is easy to maneuver about the house. We have a variety of floor surfaces (low carpet, rugs, hardwood floors, laminate wood floors, and vinyl and it performs well on all surfaces. I am amazed at how much dust and powder came out of the carpet the first time I used it! While we would have preferred a bag, the bagless feature is not as messy as some and is easy enough to empty. The fit and finish is good and the body, parts, and accessories do not feel cheap. The only con is that the cord seems a little short and does not want to retract completely into its housing. It requires a little assistance near the end. Other than that, we are pleased with the performance and features, but only time will tell if it holds up as well as higher end models.

I just bought this vacuum and I pulled it out of the box. Kids playing and touching it, Animals walking all around as I am reading the book. On the first page:WARNING:
Product contains know carcenigenics in the State of California, Causes reproductive toxicity, wash hands carefully after handling.
ok.
Sounds like there might be lead in everything. MMMM. Put all the kids in the tub.Wrap it up and send it back. Nothing mentioned about cancer causing material in the ads. Daughter in law pregnant. Don't touch the vacuum?
This is outrageous and should be against the law! My God. How many people don't read the book? Surprise, your chidlren get to be stupid. Shame on everyone who supports any product that you must wash your hands after touching so your babies wont be poisoned. Sick sick sick. This vacuum sucks in the most polluted of ways. Big of them to put it on the front page of the book -in case yuo read it. Legal and all.

Comment:
I bought this based on many positive reviews after my 15 year old Hoover died. I decided on a canister because I have lots of carpeted stairs in my house. I like it for that but wish there was a smaller power head that fit on the stairs a little better. Still, it's a lot easier to use than my old upright and it does a GREAT job of picking up dust and dirt. I'm amazed at the amount of crud I get out of my seemingly clean carpets. Controls on handle are brilliant and convenient. Tools attach easily. My only complaint is that the power cord is a little short. I've only had the vac for a week so I can't comment on durability but it did come with a five year warranty, so that bodes well.
