Comment:
At first I did not believe the bad reviews, this is a great little machine, but alas, the handle is very un ergonomic and pulls at your wrist making it uncomfortable to vaccum. I took it back today.

Comment:
We looked at this vacuum at our local retailer (a national chain store) yesterday. We could find no indication on the outside of the package telling us what replacement bags it would need, so we opened the unsealed carton and checked the user manual. Retailers sell bags with a code letter, but this vacuum's box and instruction manual both neglected to say what the code letter is! The manual had a picture of the bag and it is not shaped like any upright's bags that I had ever seen. As far as we could tell by looking at EVERY package of replacement bags, they were all for upright vacuums and not for cannisters. Unless your local retailer consistenly stocks the bags, I would not buy this vacuum from them. In fact, I would check very carefully for the availability of replacement bags, belts, and filters at your local retailer, although a full supply of replacements now does not guarantee a supply will be there in future (as I have learned from experience). Even the best rated vacuum is a waste of money if you have to drive all over town looking for replacement bags or have to remember to order them from the manufacturer. Note: I rated the vacuum average based on CR's review; I haven't bought it yet, pending a search for a retailer who stocks the bags.

Comment:
I have been very disappointed with this vacuum. The hose is far too short, making the vacuum hard to maneuver. Also makes it difficult to use the tools such as the crevice tools. The tools are stored on the power wand, and get in the way and fall off. The suction isn't very powerful. The bags are small and are expensive. They are not carried in the stores and have to be ordered on-line. I am really surprised that Bissell put their name on this vacuum. I don't have anything good to say about it and recommend you buy something else.
