About This Brand

Bissell positions its upright vacuums to meet specific consumer preferences and needs. Healthy Home models target consumers who want to “breathe easy” by reducing allergens; the Pet Hair Eraser is meant to appeal to dog and cat owners. Bissell products are available at a wide variety of discount stores and mass merchants, including Wal-Mart, Target, and Kmart. Upright models range in price from $40 to $270. Bissell also makes hand and stick vacuums, canisters, compact hand extractors, upright deep cleaners, and bare-floor cleaners, and makes carpet-care products under the Woolite brand.

Bissell focuses less on canisters and has just two models, priced at $50 and $230. Bissell canisters are sold through the same retail stores as their other vacuum products.

Comment:
I was surprised how well this worked, even though the CR review was so positive. I have never had a hand-held vac that worked this well before. I mainly use it for cleanup in the shop where the 16-gallon shop vac is too unwieldy. Note: although I have dog hair in my house, it is easy to clean up, so I can't speak to that issue.

Comment:
I have a white kitty, and without this little darling, I would have white cat hair all over the house. I couldn't believe those other comments were about the same vacuum. It beats all the other brands of hand vacuums I've ever had. I strongly recommend this item!

Comment:
Zero stars! I bought it on CR rating, and pet hair' is right! That's about all it picks up, and pet hair not all that well (single strands only)! The nozzle opening is a slit about 1 wide. Not a lot of stuff will go thru there! Even if there were suction. It is impossible to get into corners or even down where floor and baseboards meet bcs of the curved shape of the front housing. A total and complete bust. Save your money!!!

Bottom Line
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
