Comment:
This is my second unit that I have owned and I know two others who have owned the same model and ALL have outlasted their batteries. Very nice performance when new but the battery doesn't last vey long, gets weak and ultimately does not take a good charge. The absolute worst part of owning this machine is that batteries are not meant to be replaced and ARE NOT AVAILABLE ANYWHERE!!!

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I'm trying to think of something good to say about this device.... Well, when it's new and working properly it will pick up dust bunnies off of smooth hard floors. The removable hand-held vac is perfectly adequate.

Other than that -- nope, I got nothing.

Seriously, spend your money elsewhere. This thing has so little suction that a grain of dried rice in a shallow grout line on a tile floor will completely defeat it. The mechanism that powers the brush is so weak it doesn't spin more often than not (and yes I've removed and cleaned the brush many times to no avail), so it then serves only to block what little suction this vacuum has.

It's not entirely useless, but it's pretty darned close.

Comment:
Worked great for about a year. Gobble up pet hair, sand, crumbs and just about anything we threw at it when we didn't want to get out the big upright. After about a year it just seemed to have less suction, power, brush action and time being able to vacuum. A little research found that I could not replace the battery myself, but could send it in to Electrolux and pay about $65 to have them put in a new battery. I would think that a machine that I paid [$] for would have a battery that would last more than a year and if not that I could replace it myself. Will research a little better next time
